Collinear limit of Energy-Energy Correlators in pp and pA collisions
ORAL
Abstract
Energy-energy correlators (EECs), which measure the energy deposition in two detectors as a function of the angle that separates them, are a very successful substructure observable in vacuum physics, e.g. allowing to access the QCD anomalous dimensions directly. Very recently, there has been an intense effort to describe the modifications of this observable due to the presence of a color medium, with the ultimate goal of using EECs to probe the properties of QCD matter. In this talk, we present a non-perturbative model that allows us to describe EECs in the entire angular region of the current experiments, encapsulating both the perturbative and non-perturbative contributions at the same time. With this, we get an excellent agreement with ALICE and CMS experimental data for pp collisions. In addition, we include modifications from the nuclear medium to describe pA collisions, recovering the observed trend in recent ALICE measurements.
