Towards a Systematic Description of Nuclear Short-Range Correlations
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
In this talk, I will discuss recent theoretical progress in the study of short-range correlations. I will present an overview of various theoretical approaches and will then focus on developments in asymptotic description of short-range correlations within the generalized contact formalism and in ab-initio calculations of electron-nucleus cross sections using the short-time approximation. For the generalized contact formalism, I will present results for the impact of subleading terms in an asymptotic expansion, including p-wave pairs and three-body correlations. For the short-time approximation, I will present recent developments that allow the calculation of quasi-elastic cross sections at large momentum transfer with good agreement with data.
