Generalized Parton Distributions from Lattice QCD

Abstract

Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) provide a powerful tool for probing the three-dimensional tomography of hadron structure, encoding crucial information about quark and gluon correlations, spin-orbit couplings, and the origin of hadronic mass and spin. Lattice QCD calculations of GPDs have made significant progress, offering insight into the hadrons' non-perturbative structure. In this talk, I will present recent developments in extracting GPDs from lattice QCD based on computations of matrix elements of momentum-boosted hadron states involving non-local operators with Wilson lines. These calculations utilize frameworks such as Large-Momentum Effective Theory (LaMET) and Short-Distance Factorization (SDF), presenting results for both twist-2 and twist-3 GPDs. I will also discuss selected advancements for integrating lattice data into global analyses through Neural Networks techniques.
