Jet modification in small and intermediate systems
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
While many signatures of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formation in small collision systems via measurements in the soft sector have been observed, little evidence of jet quenching has been revealed to date. However, new data from the LHC including O+O, p+O, and possible Ne+Ne, as well as previously-taken O+O and isobar data at RHIC provide an exciting opportunity to probe for jet modification in smaller, symmetric systems where the geometry of the collision is better defined and the QGP may become large enough for jet quenching to become discernible. This talk will cover recent results and motivate key measurements required from these datasets.
