Monte Carlo study on impact of jet quenching on n-point energy correlator in heavy ions collision.

ORAL

Abstract

In this study, Monte Carlo event generators like JEWEL are used to simulate QCD jet evolution in heavy-ion collisions (Pb-Pb) with the presence of QGP. We look at the EEC (Two Particles Energy-Energy Correlator), EEEC(3-point correlator) in both heavy ions and p-p collision. We then quantify the impact of jet quenching of observables by looking at the ratio PbPb/pp. We observed that although the individual distributions from JEWEL is far away from the data, the PbPb/pp ratio is remarkably consistent. With this study, we look further into the 3-point correlator, which will provide better understanding of the impact of jet quenching on energy loss and hadronization.
