Searching for 3N SRCs through Inclusive Electron Scattering
ORAL
Abstract
Previous measurements at SLAC and Jefferson Lab during the 6 GeV era have found evidence of 2N Short Range Correlations (SRCs) and have measured the value of the 2N SRC scaling plateau, a_2. A similar observation of 3N SRC plateau at x>2 is expected, but has not yet been made. With the 12 GeV upgrade at Jefferson lab, experiment E12-06-105 (XEM2) took the highest Q^2 data in this region so far, aiming for a first observation of a second scaling plateau. This presentation will cover the status of the analysis and challenges, as well as show preliminary results.
