Diffractive dijet and diffractive SIDIS processes at the EIC

Exclusive diffractive dijet processes at the EIC have the potential to unveil novel characteristics of the proton's internal structure. A closely related process, diffractive SIDIS has also been recently proposed for that purpose. I report on recent theoretical developments. Since forward and backward measurements are involved, studies of these processes at the EIC can significantly benefit from a second detector.
