The Onset of Scaling for NN SRCs in the Quasielastic Regime

ORAL

Abstract

Inclusive experiments in the 6 GeV era at Jefferson Lab performed precision studies of 2N short-range correlations via scaling of A/D cross section ratios at Bjorken x>1. This regime isolates nucleons with momenta greater than 300 MeV/c, which originate in short-range interactions. The onset of scaling varies in xB as a function of Q2 as well as across nuclei. In this work, we study this relationship for a variety of nuclei and show that recent inclusive experiments are well into the scaling regime where high-momentum nucleons are probed.
