Search for the Double Beta Decays of Xe-134 with EXO-200 Phase 2 Data

ORAL

Abstract

EXO-200 was an enriched liquid xenon time projection chamber experiment that operated at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant underground site from 2011 to 2018. EXO-200 made the first measurement of 2νββ decay of 136Xe and set some of the most stringent constraints on the 0νββ decay mode. Another double beta decaying isotope, 134Xe, was present in a 19.4% mix in the EXO-200 xenon source. Neither the 2νββ nor 0νββ decay modes have been observed for this isotope. We present the status of a search for double beta decays of 134Xe with the EXO-200 Phase 2 data.
