Low-energy effective field theory of the deuteron
ORAL
Abstract
We study neutron-deuteron ($nd$) and proton-deuteron ($pd$) scatterings in two $S$-wave and five $P$-wave channels at low energies below the breakup momentum of the deuteron ($\Lambda_d\approx 45.7$ MeV) using the effective field theory developed in Ref. [1]. At this energy range, the deuteron can be considered a point-like particle, and Coulomb interaction in $pd$ scattering must be treated non-perturbatively. We will discuss the calculation of several low-energy observables for both systems and comparison to available experimental data.
