Precision tests of fundamental physics with π0, η and η′ mesons
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Decays of π0, η and η′ mesons provide a unique laboratory to test low-energy Quantum Chromodynamics and search for new physics beyond the Standard Model. They have drawn world-wide attention in recent years and have inspired broad experimental programs in different high-intensity-frontier centers. In this talk we will highligh some of the most important opportunities provided by these decays emphasizing those that allow for simultaneous precision Standard Model tests and searches for beyond the Standard Model physics, looking either for discrete symmetry violation or potential new light particles.
