Women in Science Social

Abstract
The Women in Science Social is designed as a networking event for women and non-binary scientists, particularly for CEU students and early career scientists, in our community. This will be the 6th annual Women in Science Social since the event’s conception in 2015. The Women in Science Social event is a phenomenal opportunity for established members of the DNP community to connect with and mentor early career scientists. The central goal of the Women in Science Social is to combat the attrition of women and non-binary scientists during the period when they are most likely to leave the field by providing them with mentorship and support within the Division of Nuclear Physics. This year, the Women in Science Social is taking advantage of the unique circumstances of a virtual October DNP meeting and inviting panelists who would not normally be able to attend, including those from outside of North America. The Zoom link and password will be shared with those who register for the event. Registration will be open until an hour before the event, but you are encouraged to register early in order to receive event updates.
