The GlueX DIRC Detector
ORAL
Abstract
Studying strange final states of mesons and baryons at GlueX requires improved kaon identification. Therefore, the particle identification system will be upgraded with the addition of a DIRC system that will allow K/Pi separation up to 4 GeV (increased from the current 2 GeV). The GlueX DIRC makes use of decommissioned components from the BaBar DIRC and installation is currently underway at Jefferson Laboratory. The design of the system and current status of the installation will be presented.
