ALICE results from the first Pb-Pb run at the LHC

ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is a general-purpose detector specifically designed to measure the properties of strongly-interacting matter created in nucleus-nucleus collisions at the LHC. Results from the first LHC Pb-Pb run at center-of-mass energy of 2.76 TeV per nucleon pair will be presented, and discussed in the context of pp collisions at the same center-of-mass energy and of nucleus-nucleus collisions at lower energies.
