Dance of the spinning micro-particles above a wall
POSTER
Abstract
We present a theoretical and numerical study of the complex dynamics and emergent behavior of spinning micro-spheres situated above a no-slip wall. The particles are coupled through the fluid in which they are suspended. We describe the Hamiltonian dynamics and derive the constants of motion. We discuss the emergence of periodic or chaotic trajectories how the model gives insight into more complex systems.
