Hydrodynamic aspects of axonal transport
ORAL
Abstract
Efficient intracellular transport is essential for neuronal function, especially over long distances. Disruptions in this process are implicated in various neurodegenerative diseases. In this talk, we explore the impact of fluid mechanical on transport dynamics in axons; our theoretical models are able to predict organisational patterns of microtubules that align with experimental observations.
