Capillary Rise Dynamics Through Fully and Partially Saturated Deformable Porous Material
ORAL
Abstract
In this study, we plan to develop a mathematical model for fully and partially saturated deformable porous materials. Initially, the liquid front saturates the porous material fully and at a later stage partially saturates the porous material. In these dynamics three moving interfaces are formed i.e. the liquid/fully-saturated porous interface, the fully-saturated/partially saturated porous material interface and the partially-saturated/dry porous material interface. We hope to connect the numerically computed results to experimental data from our previous studies and data available in the existing literature.
