Point vortices with dynamic circulation

The intimate connection between scalar vorticity dynamics and point vortex dynamics is well known. Because of Kirchhoff, Kida, and many others, Hamiltonian point vortex dynamics has been widely studied in a variety of contexts. In this talk I will discuss a generalization: a new conservative system of point vortex dynamics that allows for dynamic circulations.
