Three little stories on Fragmentation and Mixing

Abstract

Mixing, the process by which objects aggregate and lose their identity as they merge into a homogeneous ensemble and Fragmentation, the process by which initially connected objects disjoin, seem at first sight to pertain to different worlds. Several observations suggest on the contrary the profound unity between these two phenomena.
