Stability of toroidal drops

Using co-flowing liquids we are able to generate drops with the shape of a torus. We will present experimental results on the stability of these unusual drops and on how they evolve into spheres. We find two distinct scenarios depending on the torus aspect ratio, which we quantify using optical imaging.
