Demonstration of Rubidium-Cesium entanglement for fast syndrome measurements

ORAL

Abstract

Inter-species Rydberg entangling gates enable fast error syndrome measurements for quantum error correction in a neutral atom quantum computer. We assign Rb to the role of ancilla, and Cs to the role of data qubit, thereby allowing the ancillas to be read out in-place with zero crosstalk to the data qubits. This scheme eliminates the need for time-consuming atom motion or shelving. We will present characterization of inter-species entanglement with time-optimal CZ gates on Infleqtion's Sqale Error Correction Testbed. We will also discuss performance optimization including Rydberg level selection and electric field control.
