Towards Super- and Subradiance in Magic Wavelength Tweezers using a Mid-IR Sr transition
ORAL
Abstract
We are developing an experimental system that pursues the observation of super- and subradiance of 88Sr atoms in ordered arrays. To this end, we demonstrate state manipulation between Sr’s metastable 3P2 and 3P0 states and spectroscopic measurements of Sr’s mid-infrared (3P2-3D3) 2.9 μm line in a tweezer array. In addition, we explore a magic wavelength candidate for the 2.9 μm transition and show single-atom trapping, cooling, and imaging with this novel wavelength. Finally, we report on further progress towards super- and subradiance studies in subwavelength arrays.
