Hybridized Spin-Spatial Bosonic Excitations in Spinor Bose-Einstein Condensates
ORAL
Abstract
The coupling between bosons and spins is central to many quantum systems such as the spin-boson and Dicke models. Spinor Bose-Einstein condensates provide a highly tunable means to explore bosonic excitations coupled to the spin degree of freedom, yielding applications in quantum simulation of other systems. The various phase-diagrams in these systems also provide an apt platform for quantum sensing due to the sensitivity of the models near phase boundaries. Here we introduce a new framework of spin-spatial hybridized bosonic excitations within spin-1 condensates, easily extensible to analysis beyond the spinor Gross-Pitaevskii equation. In certain regimes, the resulting spin dynamics also bear fruit to a new means of spectrometry.
