Leveraging Integrability to Study Non-Integrable Systems
POSTER
Abstract
Nearly integrable 1D quantum systems have been experimentally realized and widely understood in and away from equilibrium for a range of coupling strengths. Using an array of nearly integrable 1D gases as a starting point, we controllably lift integrability using a lattice potential applied along the 1D direction. We are working to adapt the experimental and theoretical tools that have been developed to measure and model nearly integrable gases in order to measure and model gases that are progressively further from integrable.
