Optimized high fidelity spin-dependent kicks with ultrafast pulses

Abstract
We propose an optimization approach to realize single-qubit spin-dependent kicks (SDKs) utilizing picosecond pulses with amplitude and phase modulations. Our calculations demonstrate high fidelity for SDKs with various pulse shapes, including delta pulses and pulses with a nonzero width. This study lays the foundation for the realization of ultrafast two-qubit gates via SDKs.
