Many-body phenomena in strongly-interacting quasi-1D gas with dipolar interaction

Abstract

This theoretical talk will explore many-body phenomena in quasi-one-dimensional and strictly one-dimensional quantum gases. I will discuss how the super-Tonks-Girardeau (sTG) regime can be used for topological pumping, leading to the generation of strongly fermionized states in an ideal Bose gas. I will then focus on the effects of analogous effect due to the dipolar interactions, demonstrating the formation of quantum droplets and a "dipolar" variant of the sTG regime. To conclude, I will briefly address the experimental realization of these systems in 3D traps and discuss the mapping between 3D and 1D parameters.
