Protecting spin squeezing from decoherence
ORAL
Abstract
As an important resource in quantum metrology, spin squeezing has many applications in precision measurements. However, like many other non-classical states, spin squeezed state can be fragile in the presence of decoherence, hence impeding its practical implementation. Here, by investigating the influence of local dissipation on spin squeezing, we find a mechanism to protect the spin squeezed state against decoherence. This mechanism relies on the non-Markovian nature of the environment and preserves spin squeezing in the steady state.
