An AMO experimentalist approach to quantum computing and quantum simulation
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Quantum computing, along with its specialized subset of quantum simulation, has been a major focus of the physics community due to its potential to solve certain types of problems that are otherwise intractable for classical computers. Yet, it is notoriously challenging to build a quantum computer. In this talk, I will discuss the tools that experimentalists wield to build quantum computers based on cold atoms and molecules, as well as a selection of the recent results achieved in the community.
