Parity violation: from cosmos and vapor cells to atomic and molecular beams and nuclear magnetic resonance tubes
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Parity violation in atoms was discovered in 1970s and remains an area of research today. The origin of the effect is parity violation in weak interactions that are pointlike on the atomic scale. We will discuss several approaches towards observation of parity violation in molecules (still an open challenge!) as well as testing for possible existence of long-range parity violating forces with ranges up to cosmic scales.
