Neutral-Atom Based Quantum Computing with 171Yb Nuclear-Spin Qubits
POSTER
Abstract
We present progress toward a neutral-atom based quantum computer based on the alkaline-earth-like atom ytterbium. This species provides a natural nuclear spin qubit amenable to long coherence times, as well as narrow and ultra-narrow optical transitions that provide opportunities for state- and site-selective imaging and gate operations. Here, we present progress enabled by this platform, including the assembly of large qubit arrays and gate operations.
