* IonSim.jl integrates experimentally-driven functionality with the abstract state space framework and numerically efficient operations of QuantumOptics.jl

* Backend generates and tracks (possibly time-dep) parameters of ion trap system

* Efficiently constructs a numerical representation of ion-trap system Hamiltonian in interaction picture
