Scattering theory of three-photon transport in chiral and bidirectional waveguide quantum electrodynamics (wQED)

POSTER

Abstract

In this poster, we present the scattering thoery of three-photon propagation in one-directional (chiral) and bidirectional (non-chiral) waveguides that are coupled to a single two-level atom. The scattering thoery for single and two-photon cases in single-atom wQED have already been studied in the past (see for example, Phys. Rev. A 82, 063821 (2010)). In this work, we go beyond the two-photon case and discuss the possibility of three-photon bunching and anti-buncing in the context of strongly coupled wQED. Furthermore, we'll discuss the impact of atomic and waveguide losses on the three-photon transport. We expect the findings of our work to be useful in developing multi-photon quantum networking protocols.
