The impact of a qubit on the optomechanically induced transparency in spinning ring resonators
ORAL
Abstract
In this talk, I'll discuss our recent work (arXiv:2210.07330) on optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) in spinning ring resonators that are coupled to a single qubit. In the past, we and others have shown that due to the spin degree of freedom of the pump-probe driven optomechanical resonator (Sagnac-effect), non-reciprocal photonic transport and slow & fast light propagation is possible to attain. In this talk, we focus on the scenario when a single qubit is optically coupled to such a hybrid quantum system. In particular, we pay attention to how the interplay between qubit-photon interaction and spinning of the resonator allows engineering OMIT which can find useful applications in developing quantum memories and quantum networking protocols.
