Communicating Science to Those Outside of the Lab
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Scientists have a responsibility to share the meaning and implications of their work, not just with scientists but also with non-scientists, the media, and publicity officers. In this talk, I will discuss the role of Physics Magazine (htttp://physics.aps.org) in communicating research to a broad audience and share some thoughts on science communication from my experience as a writer and editor of Physics Magazine and as an editor of Physical Review Letters. I will also share my “wish list” for scientific papers.
