Electron Ionization of the Ta Atom

Abstract
Electron-impact ionization cross sections are calculated for the
ground configuration of the Ta atom. Time-dependent close-coupling
cross sections for the direct ionization of the outer 6l subshells are
combined with distorted-wave cross sections for excitation-autoionization
to yield a total single ionization cross section.
