Experimental results for muon g-2
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
The Muon g-2 Experiment E989 at Fermilab aims at measuring the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon aμ≡(g-2)/2 to an unprecedented precision of 140 parts per billion. In July 2023 the experiment finished data-taking and in August 2023 the Muon g-2 collaboration released an intermediate result based on 35% of the total dataset. In this talk we give an update of the progress toward releasing the final result and discuss the current situation of comparison with Standard Model prediction.
