Constraining Cannibal Dark Matter

ORAL

Abstract

Cannibalistic dark matter (CanDM) is one of the interesting dark matter models due to its number-changing self interaction. Aim of our work is to constrain Cannibal Dark matter (CanDM) using matter power spectrum observations. Which we achieve by considering a toy model of CanDM with constant cross section and non-relativistic phase space distribution. This allows us to solve the background evolution of the CanDM fluid and integrate the density perturbation equations using software CLASS. Finally, we arrive at the effects of CanDM on the matter power spectrum, allowing us to constrain its parameter space using Lyman-alpha and Sub-Halo Mass Function measurments. We show constraints which are in agreement with previous works and even slightly stronger.
