Novel Experimental Results in Nucleon-Nucleon Short Range Correlations in Nuclei
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Short range correlated nucleon-nucleon pairs are an important part of nuclear structure, accounting for almost all of the high-momentum nucleons in nuclei. They serve as a superb laboratory to study the partonic structure of nucleons under extreme conditions. The body of experimental studies of short range correlations (SRCs) continues to grow via new experiments and new analyses of existing data. This talk will present an overview of these experiments and the latest thinking, from an experimental perspective, on the connection between SRCs and the unpolarized EMC effect and other topics.
