Development of precision cross section measurement of ZZ→2l2ν production with the ATLAS detector
ORAL
Abstract
An overview of the ongoing measurement of the differential cross section of diboson ZZ production in the final states containing two charged leptons and two neutrinos resulting from proton-proton collisions at √s =13 TeV (pp→ZZ→2l2ν) is presented. The data sampled correspond to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb-1 collected during the ATLAS detector’s full Run-2. The analysis currently uses a mix of techniques; a comparison between multivariable analysis (MVA) background rejection techniques and cut-based techniques are presented. Current inclusive and differential results are compared with earlier ATLAS and CMS measurements, neither of which used MVA, at lower integrated luminosities.
