Module assembly and testing for the ATLAS Phase-II Inner Tracker Pixel Detector
ORAL
Abstract
The Inner Tracker, a new all-silicon detector, will replace the ATLAS inner tracker layers during the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) is responsible for the assembling and testing the thin quad modules, which will constitute the Inner System of the upgraded ATLS pixel detector. ANL will assemble and test these modules for the pre-production and production phase of the ATLAS upgrade program. We have developed techniques for automation of the testing procedure, which includes steps such as automation of the thermal cycling, and electrical scans of the modules. The details of ANL's module assembly and testing clean room setup, including the specific automation techniques, will be discussed in this talk.
