Abstract

The Astro2020 Decadal emphasized New Physics, New Messengers, highlighting the science made possible by astrophysical observations in the time domain and multiple messengers. The Time-Domain and MultiMessenger Science Interest Group (TDAMM SIG) is being created to facilitate community organization and long-term engagement with NASA Headquarters relevant to the Decadal recommendations of relevance for NASA. This work is inherently interdisciplinary. These sources rely upon knowledge from, or may advance knowledge in, the fields of gravity, nuclear physics, particle physics, atomic and molecular physics, cosmology, fundamental physics, plasma physics, turbulence, and more. We will briefly summarize the charge of the TDAMM SIG with the hope of broadening participation in the SIG structure to a wider part of the APS community.
