Shining light on the Higgs: Study of the Higgs boson couplings to photons at the Large Hadron Collider
ORAL
Abstract
A study of anomalous Higgs boson interactions in production and decay was conducted with the JHUGenerator framework, focusing on photon couplings. The framework includes an event generator, the MELA library for matrix element analyses, and the JHUGenLexicon interface. The latter relates anomalous coupling formulation with popular EFT bases, allowing comparisons between kinematic distributions in multiple frameworks. The study also includes a comparison of next-leading-order electroweak corrections to the effects from the photon couplings under the effective field theory framework. Some of the content is illustrated with projections for experimental measurements with the full LHC and HL-LHC datasets.
