Charge Readout System in DUNE Liquid Argon Near Detector Module-0

POSTER

Abstract

The Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) will address open issues in neutrino physics such as the measurement of the CP-violating phase in neutrino oscillations and the neutrino mass ordering. The Module-0 demonstrator is a single-phase liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) operated as a prototype for the DUNE liquid argon near detector (ND-LAr). Based on the ArgonCube design concept, Module-0 features a novel 80k-channel pixelated charge readout and advanced high-coverage photon detection system. The Module-0 demonstrator was operated with cosmic rays in spring 2021, collecting a dataset of 25 million events. Performance of the charge readout system will be presented.
