Pentaquarks: Challenges and Pitfalls

In this talk the current status of the pentaquark searches will be reviewed. Experimental results from different facilities in Japan, Russia, USA, Germany and elsewhere reporting the evidence for the existence of pentaquarks as well as reporting no evidence will be critically discussed.
