Heavy quark studies using $B^+ \rightarrow J/\psi K^{*+}$

We study the properties of $b$ hadrons using the decay $B^+ \rightarrow J/\psi K^{*+}$ where the $J/\psi$ is reconstructed in the decay $J/\psi \rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^-$, the $K^{*+}$ in the decay chain $K^{*+} \rightarrow K^0_S \pi^+$ and $K^0_S \rightarrow \pi^+ \pi^-$. We also discuss the role of $K^{*+}$ in mixing studies with same-side tagging.
