Mysteries of Heavy Flavors

Abstract
Copious numbers of bottom and charm quarks and tau leptons have been produced at accelerator facilities in the last few years. An international effort to study the decays of these heavy-flavor particles has led to a new level of precision in measurements of dominant decays and in sensitivity to very rare decays. What have we learned from these measurements? I will discuss the motivation for studying the decays of heavy-flavor particles and review some of the more intriguing experimental results and their possible implications.
