Heavy axion models with mirror twin symmetries

ORAL

Abstract

Two outstanding puzzles related to the standard model of particle physics are the strong CP problem, which is related to the lack of observed CP violation in QCD, and the electroweak hierarchy problem, which is related to the origin of the scale of electroweak symmetry breaking. We describe a model, based on the twin Higgs scenario, in which both issues are addressed simultaneously and comment on some of the theoretical virtues and experimental signals associated with this framework.
