Rotating Q-Balls

ORAL

Abstract

Q-balls are theoretical particles and proposed dark matter candidates. Surprisingly, all known rotating Q-balls exhibit quantized angular momentum, despite being a classical system. We demonstrate a novel method of deriving Q-Ball solutions, and apply this method to rediscover rotating Q-Ball solutions. For such solutions, we show the angular momentum is quantized. In this talk, I will elucidate quantized angular momentum in these classical systems.
