A Freshman's Journey in Learning Quantum Mechanics: New Insights
POSTER
Abstract
This poster illustrates my unconventional approach to learning quantum mechanics as a freshman with the goal of delving into quantum research early on. Successively focusing on linear algebra, superposition, entanglement, complex numbers and Pauli matrices led to unique insights, such as a shortcut for finding eigenvectors of 2x2 matrices and geometric interpretations of tensor products involving Pauli matrices. I present these findings chronologically, showing how an atypical learning approach can lead to new perspectives and encourage early-stage students to explore quantum mechanics.
