3D Localization of Bark Beetles using Acoustic Holography
POSTER
Abstract
This project focuses on designing and constructing a cost-effective microphone array to detect bark beetles in ponderosa pine trees. Utilizing Acoustic Holography (AH) and other acoustic modeling techniques, the goal is to assess insect density by reconstructing the sound field captured by the array. This research is supported by a grant from the Arizona Department of Forestry and the Arizona Board of Regents.
